3 Fonteinen “Intens Rood” (Intense Red) is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries on lambic for at least six months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic, and is then blended again with more lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 450 grams of fruit per liter. The kriek lambic ferments in the bottle for at least another six months and develops into an intense wine-like fruit lambic. This bottle fermented, unfiltered and unpasteurised lambic is all-natural with no artificial juices, syrups, or sugars added. Traditional Lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley!

Bottle, taster. Tasted on the 15/04/2018 at "Be Hoppy", 3 Fonteinen Tasting, Madrid. Blend Nº35 16/17 Seizoen. Intense and hazy red colour with a medium pinky head. Aroma of fresh sour cherries and cinnamon with some cheesy finish. Taste is intense sour cherries leading to a medium lactic, funky and tarty finish. Really nice. Next one please!

Bottle, 750 ml at Be Hoppy 3F tasting. (2016-2017) Blend 35 Dark red with purple pinkish head. Raspberries, cherries, even some berries, funky, medium sourness, nice texture.

2013 bottle. From notes. Nose was cherry, leather, christmas, cinnamon, pot potpourri, floral. Taste was cherry, herbal, marzipan, christmas spices, cinnamon, sour, almonds, slight woodiness. Mouthfeel was slick.

at a tasting, many many thanks, no head whatsoever, dark red to purple color, intense all right... intense aroma of cherry, cake maltiness, clove nutmeg and cinamon and a light understated sewery hint, ripe cherry and raspberry flavor, intensifying all the time with that cake maltiness and a touch of metal. medium intense sourness, amazingly mellow. Exquisite.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for this old 37.5cl bottle. BB 11/2017. Clear dark pink red beer with a small pinkish head. Aroma of tart red fruits, overriped cherries, mild vinegar, apples, cinnamon. Taste of tart cherries, apples, wood, sulfits, soft vinegar, red grapes, hints of wood, nice!

Bottle. Bottle date: 02-05-2014. Color: Intense red., pink head. Taste: Medium sourness, little bitterness. Intense cherries, giving also some sweetness. Hints of wood. Pretty dry mouthfeel. Above medium body, average carbonation. Very nice beer.
