3 Fonteinen “Intens Rood” (Intense Red) is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries on lambic for at least six months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic, and is then blended again with more lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 450 grams of fruit per liter. The kriek lambic ferments in the bottle for at least another six months and develops into an intense wine-like fruit lambic. This bottle fermented, unfiltered and unpasteurised lambic is all-natural with no artificial juices, syrups, or sugars added. Traditional Lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley!

(season 18 - 19) Blend No. 118 Ruby-red, opaque color and a white head. Nose of cherries and balsamico, acidic. Taste is tart, sour cheriris, nice acidic.

0,75l bottle at home. deep red color, very small white head. smells cherries, marzipan, nutty, jammy. very nice smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes cherries, jammy, nutty, cinnamon, lightly grass. finishes lightly dry and lightly sour with notes of cherries, nutty and jammy notes. lovely

Sampled may 10th 2022 . Pours a dark purplered. Small white head. Scent is full, intense cherry, oak (wet oak) , mildly acetic. Taste is dry, sharp, not too acidic, actually. Dry, loads of cherries still. Awesome how fruity this remained.

🍒 🪵 , smaakvol, ook vrij scherp en wrang, man volgens mij is dit nog erger dan in de hommage’s van zojuist, kersen hebben wat minder off smaken, je proeft echt meer de kers, en zelfs ook wat kaneel/pit, jammer van dat samentrekkende weer…
