From the bottle. Dark brown with a tall foamy head that lingers. Aroma of candy, toasted grains and hint of coffee. Taste is mildly bitter but the charred flavors are balanced out by a cherry bonbon sweetness that lingers through an otherwise bitter finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Tasty.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker. Pours hazy brown with an amber hue and a lasting, small, foamy, tan head; little lacing. Subtle aroma of butterscotch, licorice, candied date, cold tea, mocha, milk chocolate, coffee filter, faint iron. Taste is medium caramelly sweet with hints of dough & fudge; and light herbal bitter, tea-like, nutty with a raisin accent. Dryish, herbal & vaguely peppery hoppy finish, bit metallic, lingering caramel & raisin. Medium body, slick/oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Nice one, but I expected more.

Bottle from Les Fleurs. Amber brown with a thin head. Aroma of toffee malt. Flavour is cocoa and chocolate, more an Ale than a stout. Dry sweet finish.
