Bottled. Dark ish deep amber pour. Chewy malts and hints of hops. Pretty complex for a small beer.

22 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 2/9/2015. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy reddish copper color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Awesome appearance. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, herbal, grass, and floral/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and moderate citrus hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, herbal, grass, and floral/toasted earthiness. Light pine/herbal/spicy hop and roast bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, and floral/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and moderate citrus hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from hop/roast bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a nice amber ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and moderate citrus hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. Obviously past prime at this point, but still had a nice balance of malt and hop flavors. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bomber from Kingdom Liquors, thanks Deepak for the gift.

MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter start, fruity, lots of citrus, some grapefruit, pineapple. Aftertaste: bitter hops, bit resinous, fruity. Very nice session ale, lots of flavour!

From a bottle acquired at Z’s. Smells pretty friendly and fresh. First taste and I think this must be at least 6% but hey, its less than 4? Yes, bitter malty stuff, wew. Lots of flavor fer sure. Becomes mouth coating and a little medicinal in the middle. Some co2 provides a near cutting fizz. Way too much personality for this lager lover, almost becomes astringent near the end. But hey, if you like bitter hoppy malty beer, this if for you.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bote this beer poured a hazy caramel-brown color with a medium sized fluffy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was wood, roasty malts and gritty, leafy floral hops. The flavor was thin, dry and bitter with wood and leafy floral hops. Medium length finish. Medium body. Disappointing.
