A brewers' favourite, our year-round stout is matured for a minimum of four weeks for a full body and smooth finish. Aromas of dark, roasted malt and subtle liquorice lead into indulgent rounded flavours with a touch of red fruit before a long, lightly bitter finish.

750ml bottle from Appellation Wines, shared with jeevan and the Mrs. Pours dark brown, thin beige crumpet of head. Good coffee aromas, pine hops in there too. Taste brings chocolate sweetness, more pine and citrus bitter. Creamy texture and medium to full body. Nice one to finish the night on.

On tap @ Borefts 2013 This is a deep dark brown one, light cloudy in the glass with a bubbly sidesticking beige top. Smells of light tarmac, dark sweet malts, caramel fudge and some chocolate wrapper. Quite enjoyable nose. It's above average on the carbonation and it has a oily mouthfeel. Light roasted and almost lactose sweet flavors. Quite well bitter with a minty almost toothpaste touch over it. Some biscuits in the finish. Actually a bit interesting and not bad tasting at all. 28.09.2013

Bottle courtesy of dad Wednesday 25th December 2013 shared with dad who picked this up from the brewery, cheers dad Pours very dark brown, hoppy and roasty, soft carbobation. It is perhaps a little thin compared to many Imperial Stouts, however it is very flavoursome. Furry, green fresh hops buzzing on tongue. Some yeast on a very beery nose. Good but I preferred the Zombier which I had again last night. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov14 3.3

Keg at Euston tap. Cascading dense cream head that persists. Opaque black pour. Aroma is big on the tuty fruity hops with peach soft roast. Flavour is smooth biscuit toasty coffee malt with a hint of chocolate then the hops come in with earthyness and berries that play of the roast really well. Assertive smooth bitterness from the hops and roast combine. Roast lingers. Medium full smooth body. Touch mineral character. Very nice hoppy stout.

750ml bottle. Clear, deep ruby red glowing, darkest brown colour with small, creamy, fairly lasting, more than minimally lacing, beige head. Herbal hoppy aroma, notes of hay, minimally citrusy hoppy, a touch of grapefruit. Taste is moderately bitter hoppy, slightly fruity, a touch of grapefruit, orange, some hay, subtle hints of dark chocolate with orange zest touch, also a touch of coffee; lasting dry dark malty and bitter hoppy finish. More Black IPA-ish hoppy than Stout-ish malty.
