Never seen a beer this thick before. Has the texture of melted ice cream. I like rich and oily beer but this was maybe too much. Aroma and flavour have a touch of smoke and lots of bitter roasted malt. Small amount of spice and dark chocolate. Some woody dryness in the finish.

Bottle, Kris Wines, London. Poured black as a raven’s wing with a noice tan head. Chocolate coffee and booze in the nose. Lovely creamy smooth mouthfeel. Malts, coffee, chocolate and hops all at the party flavour-wise. Hugely drinkable and the ABV masking is just superb. Cracking stout this.

33cl bottle, bb 12/03/16. Black colored, thick beige head, lacing. Very nutty aroma, roasty and woody. Really inviting. Flavor has tar, burnt malt, strong coffee, wood. Bitter, mouthdrying finish. Excellent.

Sampled from a unknown-sized bottle @ Haandfest 2013. This is a near black one, no, let's call it black and it has a nice lacing brown top that's leaving some islands floating on top of the beer. Lots if dark notes in the aroma. It's coffee bitter and loaded with chocolate paper! There is even a little bit of licorice here as well. It has a light oily mouthfeel and a average prickling carbonation level. Nice roasted profile all over this. Dark coffee, burned to the max, I get more chocolate paper, a roasted acidity and dark burned cake. It's leaving the mouth with a dry feeling. Lots of flavor, enjoyable. 25.05.2013
