Light copper pour with a subtantial, but short-lived head - lots of fruity esters in the aroma, especially strawberry - highly evident alcohol in the flavor, along with some of the esters from the aroma and a light grain taste - some hops are present, but add an odd, metallic bitterness.

The aroma is very sweet - no wonder with the 9.1% ABV - and it has notes of peaches and yeast. The color is dark amber and it has a beutiful lasting off-white head. The flavor is also sweet with notes of peach and alcohol. A nice beer to give warmth on a freezing winter night.

Dark golden, light amber colour with a great tan head that was almost exactly like one from a nitrogen can. Aroma of smoked apples, and a seemingly good combination of hops and malt. The taste is full-bodied with smokey flavours. The hops cannot overpower the smoke and the malt is just peeking through. The alcohol is very evident all the way through the bottle, but with the density of this beer and the flavour, it isn't too crazy to have almost 10%. I bought this 13.52 ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York.

Polished bronze colour. The aroma is full of pale malt, a little alcohol with hints of caramel and acetaldehyde. Firm, alcoholic body, with lots of sweet caramel and bread malts. Clean, brawny lager with decent balance but little panache.
