With its mellow malty flavor and subtle flowery nose, Ouisconsing Red gets its name from the Algonquin word for the Wisconsin River (or "Red Stone River"). Featuring a range of caramel malts for mild biscuit- sweetness and a warm, rich mahogany color.

Purchased at Evolution Wine & Spirits in Chicago, IL; enjoyed while watching a Monday Night Football Bears game. Appearance is a dark, cloudy amber with a thin but moderate white head that lightly laces to the glass. Aroma of burnt toast, caramel malt, not really much else. Taste goes down with a light bitterness, not really much of a crispness, a little bit of chocolate as well. Not really feeling this one, but itβs not too bad.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours amber with about a finger of white head. Aroma of caramel and light floral hops. Taste is light bitter. Floral and pine hops with a little caramel. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. I would drink this one again.

On draught at Local Option. Reddish-amber pour with a medium off-white head that diminishes slowly to a film. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt and hops. Light body with flavors of mild floral hops, butterscotch and malt. The finish is short and sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a foamy tan head. Aromas of floral hops and malt. Slightly sweet nutty malt flavor balanced well with hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied. Nothing too special; but alot better than some other ambers out there.
