bottle mix pack. Pours amber/brown with off white head. Aroma of caramel malts, light hazelnuts. On the weak side. Taste, light caramel, some nutty roasted malts, light notes of chocolate. Overall finish leaves a light bitter and nutty mouthfeel.

12 oz bottle courtesy of Suttree. Best if enjoyed before 05708FX stamped on bottle. Pour is cola brown, with a billowing tan head - 3 inches at least. Very frothy. Aroma of not much, some light black cherry, some hazelnut a bit a biscuit maltiness. Taste is pretty sharply sweet with a chemical cherriness, followed quickly by a dusty nuttiness. Finish has an almost tobacco taste to it. Palate is thin to medium, drinkable. Carbonation was a bit too active for my liking. Thanks for sending this, Phil.

12 oz bottle. Pours a brown color with a small head. Way too carbonated for my tastes. Fizzy, light, malt flavors. I think I could pass on this one and stick to the other beers from this brewery.

12oz bottle. Brown toffee color, looks filtered. Nutty caramel flavors. Malty, rich, and creamy. Nothing over the top, but a pretty good session beer.

Bottle. Strong prune and brown sugar aroma - like a belgian beer. Dark brown with small head. Fairly sharp prune and brown sugar flavor up front but fades fairly quickly leaving only a mild brown sugar flavor. Still a very nice brown ale.

A nut-brown beer - wonder where I got that from, with a thin light brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of nuts, while the flavor has notes of malt, caramel, and nuts as well as hints of nutmeg.

Found a bottle of this at my company party, boy was I surprized. A little chocolate on the aroma. Pours very dark brown. Has a choclatey flavor that reminds me of their oatmeal stout. THis is one of the better brown beers I have had. Carbonation is below average. Finish is non offensive. Nice overall, kinda like a lite sweet stout. Better than bell’s and abita.

I am not a big fan of brown ales and this is certainly no brown ale of great distinction. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is malty and moderately vegetal. The flavor is nutty and a bit roasty with a light vegetal element. There is a hint of roasty chocolate on the tangy finish.

Pour is a very dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is very light but very sweet and malty. Flavor is nice! Very much dark malts with some raision and caramel. A pretty nice beer from a brewer i have never heard of before.

Very dark brown in colour with a quick-fading head. Somewhat nutty smell, but overwhelmed with malt and sweetness. Full-bodied taste with hints of nuts. Much more my style than the Ithaca Nut Brown which is TOO nutty (just in my opinion). A good flavour, while subtle. A bit sweet as well.
