Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized brown head. The aroma was sweet blueberry muffin. The flavor was roasty, malty and had a strong blueberry note and a tangy and bitter finish. Interesting.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a slow-forming and thin tan head. Aromas are heavy of blueberries (although they come through as a little artificial) and not much else is detectable. Flavor is also heavy on the blueberries, to the point where they overpower everything else until the very late aftertaste where there is a bit of a stout-like chocolatiness. This is pretty good if you like blueberries, but not very good if you are looking for a stout.

Bottle on 07/03/2008. Black body with a large creamy tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate and blueberries in the aroma. More roasted and chocolate malt with blueberries shining through followed by a mild bitter finish. Certainly not overpowered by fruit, and well balanaced. Medium full body with moderate carbonation.

Courtesy of Degarth. Pours very dark with thin mocha head. It has a big bouquet of blueberries that seem to be coming from sugary fruit extract along with a faint malt roastiness and a hint of tart like chemicals. It has a roasty flavor with a dominant blueberry extract taste that becomes a bit tart and drying into the finish. Seems like a great combination if the fruit part was done different (better).

Bottle. Pours utterly black with creamy tan head. Aroma is blueberry, of course, and roasty coffee. Taste is of a thinner stout with a lovely sweet and tart blueberry taste. Very nice.
