We still brew this unique beer in the old-fashioned, original way, using genuine Gose yeast, coriander and salt. Ritterguts Gose's refreshing characteristics are developed through a secondary lactic fermentation, which produces a round and harmonious acidity. Its rare, classic open fermentation and long, cold maturation make it exceptionally well-balanced, the way a real Gose was meant to be. Enjoy a taste of the finest Leipzig tradition!

# 2501; 6/2021. Lemon, coriander, bread in aroma. Haze gold body. Fresh, sour, lemon, bread, salt, dry and attenuated finish. Excellent beer. 0,5 l, bottle, beershop, Prague.

A bit darker than golden. Slightly hazy (hazier on second pour) with visible carbonation. Big frothy white head, decent retention, no lacing to speak of. Freshly vivid aroma shows a light cerealish base among a general soft feel. Salty and slightly spicy notes. Fruity notes are of lemon and (more subtly) peach. Taste notes follow the aroma closely. The beer is half sweet, half sour, but both are actually moderate and find an excellent balance where none stands out. Light bodied with quite high carbonation. It's a very fine/small bubbled carbonation though, which gives the beer a pleasant, lightly soft mouthfeel. Overall, this is very refreshing and well crafted.

500ml bottle from Right Hops (Rassvet) in Moscow. About a month before the best before date. Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is lemons, sour milk, cheese. Taste is medium sour, wheat, salt. Good, but I’m sure it we better fresher.

Bottle from Systemboalget. musky sour smell. looks like a geuze in lovely gold with light watery bottom. Strange mixed taste of sauson /huell hops /bitter. Intruiging but slightly stomach unsettling.
