We still brew this unique beer in the old-fashioned, original way, using genuine Gose yeast, coriander and salt. Ritterguts Gose's refreshing characteristics are developed through a secondary lactic fermentation, which produces a round and harmonious acidity. Its rare, classic open fermentation and long, cold maturation make it exceptionally well-balanced, the way a real Gose was meant to be. Enjoy a taste of the finest Leipzig tradition!

On tap at Monterey Bar, Berlin. Clear golden, white head. Salty, malty, some citrus notes, light to medium sourness. Very balanced, not sure I like that in this case. Light bodied.

Unusual 0,66 l bottle size from kappldav123. Thanks a lot for that rare stuff! Pours out murky flat golden with a big frothy white head. Salty fruity smell, also some coriander. Starts starts with a little bit orange, less salty. Above average carbonation. Some hop in the background. Increasing dry when it´s warm up. Refreshing stuff, but not really christmas like imho.

0,5 l bottle, bought at Grebhan´s, Bremen. Murky pale golden in the glass, mighty off white head. Musty sourish and salty on the nose. Taste starts very salty, than followed by a short grainy sequence. Later little bit citrus fruity, bready with salt. Nice on a very hot summer night like this, but not for every day.

The bottle looks really, really good. Nice format. Beer in the glass very zippy, nice small head. Mild fruity aroma, hints of lemon. Starts mild, wonderful mild-fruity, notes of lemon, also some apricot, maybe also some melon. Salty notes are really shy, so the beer is very drinkable. Finish with soft-sourish notes, still fine fruity, mild salty. Very drinkable. I love that beer. Too bad I didnt have a bottle of the Original Ritterguts Gose at home to do a side by side tasting. I really think this version is a bit milder and less salty. Really good one!

The bottle looks good, but I don’t like this old man on it. Fine aroma. Tastes really good, I think a mix between Berliner Weisse and a hefeweizen - a little bit sourish, but also fruity. Nice combination. I liked it!
