We still brew this unique beer in the old-fashioned, original way, using genuine Gose yeast, coriander and salt. Ritterguts Gose's refreshing characteristics are developed through a secondary lactic fermentation, which produces a round and harmonious acidity. Its rare, classic open fermentation and long, cold maturation make it exceptionally well-balanced, the way a real Gose was meant to be. Enjoy a taste of the finest Leipzig tradition!

Hazy yellow golden colour, small frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, minimal lacing. Sour nose, vinegar, barnyard, apple juice, gooseberry. Mild taste, medium sweet and light to medium sour, vinegar, sour apple, light salty notes, long duration, dry sour finish. Light body, watery to sticky texture, mild mouthfeel, average carbonation, somewhat one-dimensional but refreshing.

500ml bottle. Slightly hazy yellow-tan body. Not much of a head. Artificial almost lemon-lime aroma. I get real big lemon notes, lemonade. Salty and dry too. Pretty big sour tones,, but real soft/absent malt backbone. Sort of one-dimensional, but a welcome variation from most US examples for my palate. Good.

(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with lemon, hay, coriander, grass and bread. Fruity, tart taste with notes of lemon, bread, apple juice, hay, coriander, a touch of salt and a dry tart taste with low bitterness. Medium body, really dry. Tart, dry and refreshing. Tasty and nice one.

Tap (Szynkarnia, Wroclaw). Piwo delikatnie mgliste o ciemno zlotej barwie z biala czapa, gestej, kremowej piany jak ubite bialko jajek. Aromat kwasny. W smaku rowniez kwasne z delikatna acz wyrazna, slona nuta. Lekkie, pijalne, specyficzny styl ale warto sprobowac.

On tap at Apex, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice tart wheatiness, some salt, and some citrus. Flavour is similar, with rock salt, citrus and wheat. Just a hint of tartness. Clean, salty and wheaty. Very solid gose.
