”BraGott Tallskott” 6,9 %, som vi bryggde i höstas tillsammans med Mjödhamnen. Det är en braggot, eller mölska som det heter på svenska, dvs en honungsöl. Denna braggot är bryggd med vitklöverhonung med tillsats av tallskott i jäskaret, vilket man kan känna tydligt på smaken.

Flaska från SB. Gyllenfärgad, klar, högt vitt bestående skum. LIte parfymigt tvålig karaktär med honung, blommor, tallskott. Lite alkohol slår igenom, speciellt i doften. Annars bra balans med måttlig beska som behövs förö balansen. Ok.

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of honey and hint of yeast. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long dry and yeasty finish. Body is medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Tiny bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is very mild, sap, flowers, hay, sugar, hints of apples. Taste is mild and slightly sour-ish harsh, flowers, weeds, apple skin, fruit stones, almond essence, yeast, paper, hints of sugar. Little bitterness, harsh watery mouthfeel. Meh!

Tap at Haand Ølfestival, shared with Finn. Fair lacing rings from a bubbly white head. Bright golden body. Semi-dry aroma of pineapple and honey. Mix fruity flavours of pineapple, apricot and honey sweetness. Oily hops to the ending. Not overly sweet. Fine bodied. Pleasant to drink (Drammen 29.05.2015).

Sample at Systembolaget. Clear golden with a white head. Sweet with pine needles, light honey, candy and with a touch of smoke. Quite a special one. Also with some alcohol in the finish.

Tap at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Colour is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Sweetness, some honey and pine. Quite drinkable mead.

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20150418) The beer poured golden and almost clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had honey, needles and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were honey, strongly pine needles, sweetness, herbalness and bitterness. Aftertaste had pine needless, hops and bitterness. I find this brew to be more a beer than a mead. Nevertheless the brew was a very different one than anything I’ve tasted before excluding the oddities from Short’s.
