Bottle pours with a clear dark pink body that tosses up thin legs. The aroma is crazy with honey sweet notes blended into earthy fruity cactus oddness. The taste is similar where the smooth rich honey sweetness is intertwined with earthy cactus fruitiness. The prickly pear really has an odd and interest flavor as I get floral notes as well as a dash of earthy tea sometimes too. Fun mead. Damn. I’d love to try this again.

Draught@CBC2015 (Yellow). Pinkish green (strange) colour, with no head. Aroma is honey, some pear and mild berryish notes. Flavour is honey, berries, some slight pear as well as alcohol notes to it. Sweetish sour with a nice tartness to it.

Draught @ CBC 2015. Pours insanely bright vibrant hazy pinkish red leaving some pretty legs on the glass. Smell is heavy fruity with complex honey, undefined tart tropical fruits, lime juice, passion fruit, red berries, moist hay and alcohol. Taste is sweet, sour, heavy fruity and tiny floral. Mouthfeel is fat, viscous, oily, round, tart, boozy and near full bodied. Finish is sweet and sour with high quality honey, undefined tart tropical fruits, lime juice, lemon juice, hay, minerals, pollen and alcohol. Insane sweet and tart mead. Love it!
