On tap at Hamnmästaren. (finally my first one from Sahtipaja) Hazy orange/amber with a small white head. Aroma and taste of smoke, dark bread, light fruit and cereal. A bit on the sweet side and with a good sourness. I have only tried a couple of Sahti in Finland before and this was a quite special one.

Draft @ Hamnmästaren, Malmö. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel aroma. Sweetish malty spicy caramel flavor with weak smoky hints. Has a sweetish malty spicy weak yeasty caramel finish with weak smoky hints.

Draught @ BBB. Pours murky reddish brown with a very small beige head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is smokey and phenolic with rye bread, smoked meat, pears, moist hay and soil. Taste is tiny sweet, tiny bitter, slightly sour, slightly malty, estery and phenolic with rye bread, cereal, caramel, pears, smoke, moist hay and soil. Mouthfeel is soft, slightly flat, round, slightly tart and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, tiny bitter and slightly tart with ryeb bread, cereal, moist hay, unripe pears, smoke and lemon zest. First proper-ish Sahti experience. Very estery... Works but it’s not love at first sight.
