13/II/20 - 33cl can from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ work lunch tasting, BB: 30/IX/20 (2020-137)
Cloudy bright yellow beer, big creamy off-white head, stable, bit adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: fruity, citrus, grapefruit, bit lemony. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of oranges, fruity, some tangerines, little sweet, bit watery as well, more citrus, some grapefruit, little bitter. Aftertaste: very fruity, lots of citrus, hint of banana, more citrus, bit lemony, grapefruit.

Can at home from Malt Attacks, 16th November 19. My favourite new Belgian Brewery, this is a lovely hoppy wheat beer, aromatic, apricot peach subtle bitter and smooth. Great stuff

Draft sample @ La Source Taproom.

Tap at the brewery opening. Good one, though the hops bitterness somewhat clashes with the wit character. Starts out as not very bitter, slowly builds up to an assertive bitterness in the finish. Hops character is not very intrusive, just as present as appropriate IMO, with a touch of zesty citrusy fruitiness, ever so slightly exotic. Easy drinking, despite presenting a moderate perceived body and moderate carbonation. Good.
