Bottle @ Yespr. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty slightly spicy caramel aroma. Sweetish malty malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy caramel finish.

(01/28/2013) The 750mL bottle pours a murky copper brown sort of color with a thin tannish head of foam. The aroma offers up a little apple mixed with a light amount of spicy Belgian yeast and smooth sweetness. The taste is similar as I get some sweet apples mixing with various spices seemingly coriander and clove, possibly, and backed by some smooth almost honey like sweetness.

Sample from 75 cl. bottle. Deep orange colour with a golden tint. Small, off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, alcohol, toffee, lots of marzipan, Slightly herbal. Taste is sweet. Medium to full body. Finishes sweet and herbal. Some alcohol.

75 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma is roasted maltand light yeasty. Sweet, toasted malty and caramelish. Light liqourice, roasted malty and breadish to caramelish.

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, malt, caramel, spices, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, fruits, and spices, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear nutty brown with an off-white head. Heavy estery and phenollic nose. Rich body, heavy on the caramel and brown sugar, again somewhat boozy, Not overly complex, but welcome to a massive booze up. 250113

Pours a hazy dark copper color with a smallish off white head that quickly dissipates to almost nothing on top. Smells of caramel and brown sugar with lots of apricots and dates. It smells pretty sweet but the burnt sugars and the fruit seem to balance that out a bit. The flavor is quite old aleish. Lots of sweet and caramelized sugars along with a hefty does of light and dark fruits. Prunes, plums, dates, raisins, caramel, brown sugar, and a touch of alcohol meld into quite a flavorful brew. Medium to thick body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet almost syrupy mouthfeel. I like this one, I wish I had some more to see how this develops.

Sample at Bruery Provisions. The beer pours a murky dark amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates to a film slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Caramel malt and dark fruit in the nose. Medium to full body with a rich malty character and notes of caramel, hops and dark fruit. The finish is sweet with a malt and raisin aftertaste. Above average overall.

A - dark, cloudy red / amber colour. Sort of burnt red colour. Minimal head that fades instantly.

S - Sort of this weird sharp malty property. Hints of vanilla and some other esters. Kind of a boozy scent matched with an earthy, rocky, mud scent. very earthy.

T - Some dark fruit characters like figs, dates and raisins. LOTS of sugar and sweet notes. Hints of very dark high sugar malts and boozy taste as well I get some level of honey but I’m probably wrong. Cloves or another herb or present but hard to pick out.

M - 80% carbonation on the mouth swish. Medium body

O - this is an alright brew. I don’t want to say it tastes just like granite but, as a resident of New Hampshire (the granite state), it has this mineral sort of granite taste. It’s very weird and odd and uncomfortable all at the same time. Still, interesting but not worth picking up again.
