We thought we had them under control. The antidote was working. But life, or even death, finds a way. After a year of successful treatments, their bodies stopped responding and grew to nearly twice their normal size. now they've overrun the city. I fear it's too late for mankind. They're coming. B. Afraid.

Imperial Zombie Killer. Apple honey wine with cherries added, aged in rye whiskey barrels.

500ml bottle. Poured a clear pink color with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma was a solid punch of cherries, light sweetness, sugar. Flavor was massive amounts of alcohol. Cherries, some light vanilla notes. Booze. Hits you hard later on. Pretty tasty.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours light coppery peach with no head. Aroma of cherry with a rye note. Med minus body. Starts honey, goes towards dry, very slightly tart cherry. Leaves honey note on the lips. Very subtle. Rye is very light. Apple is hard for me to find. Finishes very lightly sweet.

This bottled July 2014, pours a light reddish color. no head at all. Smells like straight up sweet cherry juice. touch of boozy alcohol. Taste is quite interesting. Very akin to cherry cough syrup, rye and woody notes are there, very boozy, slight burn in my throat. Cherry is great but a tough too medicinal. Could never drink a bottle myself.

Bottle 50 cl at Sweet & Sour, Sätila, 2014-08-30. Thanks to tkrjukoff!Clear light copper color, smallish white head. Sweet, fruity that made me think hoppy, wood, berry, cherry scent, some alcohol. Sweet, berry, honey, apple taste. Apple, sweet, light tart aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, no bitterness. Some legs left on the glass. A bit warming.

Bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours clear pale pinkish orange with a small white head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and fruity with Granny Smith apples, sour cherries, honey, alcohol, oatmeal, hay and hints of pure flower nectar. Taste is sweet, tiny sour and fruity with apple juice, honey, hay, alcohol and hints of cherries. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky sweet, tiny tart, boozy and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, tiny sour and fruity with apple juice, honey, hay and hints of cherries. Not a huge fan of the Cyser concept so far. Well made but not my thing… --- Beer merged from original tick of B. Nektar The Zombies Take Manhattan on 30 Aug 2014 at 13:17 - Score: 7

It’s a light amber copper color. No haze. Very small amount of fizzy bubbles show up from the pour, but they almost immediately dissipate. Small bubbles trickle up from the bottom of the glass. Honey, cider, oak, cherries, light rye. Everything comes through in the aroma. I was a bit worried that the rye barrel would dominate, but it shows up in a supporting role and blends very nicely with the other flavors. Cider is the dominant flavor for me. The cherries taste very natural, though I can tell how they could take on an artificial, medicinal twang if not done well. The rye barrel adds spice and a mature spirit depth. The honey is floral and pleasant. The taste has plenty of sweet fruitiness, but overall, it’s not as sweet as expected. A woody bitterness cleans up the finish. Some booze but again, less than expected. It has light, fizzy carbonation and some body. Mildly sticky. Good stuff.
