Wow. Big tart cherry/apple/honey sweetness with some toffee and oak/spicy rye balance. Smooth sipper.

Sampled at Willrunforbeer grand mead tasting. Light Amber hue in the color. Aroma is light cherry and subtle whiskey, light touches of Apple.
Flavor is mostly cherry throughout with a solid dose of apple. Really nice blend of flavors although I really wish I got some of the barrel. Overall highly drinkable for the ABV.

Tasting at Matt’s
The bottle is a gusher. It pours a hazy pink-orange color with just a rim of foam. The aroma is very interesting, flowery, with a delicate fruity touch; rose petals; light honey. Dynamic mouthfeel, lightly carbonated, mild sweetness, the alcohol punch is a nice balance to carbonation and sweetness; the flavor is a bit fruity, strawberries come to mind, not very complex though.
Nice drink, not really a Mead.

Cranberries, roses, cherries, honey aroma, a little perfumey. Rose colored, visible carbonation. Cranberries then cherries, red grape overtones, vinous. Medium body, quite hot, tannic, and a little spritzy. More recognizable as a wine than a mead, and no apple or rum character. Disappointing for a mead lover like me.

Refigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a snifter. Clear orangish pink with no head, or lacing. Aroma is sweet honey with hints of cherries, medium body, low carbonation, and syrupy texture. Taste is honey, cherry, whiskey, wood, and hints of alcohol. Lots of flavor, starts off light for the abv and gets heavy, and needs more carbonation. Overall not my thing.

500mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out rose petals, apples, whiskey, and cherries. Flavour is interesting, bringing out cherries, apples and honey. Not really getting any of the whiskey. The 12% is amazingly well-hidden and the palate is rather soft and light. Quite a nice mead / cider hybrid.
