12 oz. bottle, sent from doobliebop (thanks a lot, Ryan), pours a hazy golden with a small ring of head. Aroma of quite tart cranberries, with some woody red wine tannins, and oak barrels. Flavour is quite a bit sweeter than the nose suggests (as there was no hint of sweetness at all), featuring an assortment of different berries (I get strawberries, cranberries, raspberries, some lychee), followed by oak barrels, and some slight tartness probably from the cranberries. Medium-to-high carbonation and actually tastes like quite a bigger beer (more like 8-9%). Finishes with notes of oak and candied sugar. Very enjoyable, unique fruit beer.

Clear amber beer. Bubbly white head. Crispy palate, semi dry. Sweet cranberry that is really very well balanced with lemony sourness. Every mouthfeel is a sweet and sour contradictory treat. Finishes soft with sweetness just coming out on top. As it should! Great stuff!

Bottle (trade with arkurzynski - thanks). Musty, sour lemon malt and cranberry aroma. Slightly hazy pale ruby red color with moderate head. Sweet-tart cranberry and malt flavor. Spectacular blending of sweet and sour flavors. Delicious.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as ligter notes of berries. The flavor is acidic with notes of malt and cranberries, leading to a tart finish.

Purchased at Breeze Thru Liquors in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed on one of the last meteorological nights of the summer after making replacement keys for my lady, only to find the lost keys within 2 minutes of getting home. Appearance is like carbonated juice, ruby red with light brown hues, slightly cloudy, no head at all, tiny carbonation bubbles rising to the top. Aroma of vinegar, sour, cranberries, slight oak, some previous reviews state it smells like horseblanket, and I have no idea what that is so I Googled it, and I’m not sure if it’s a real word. Is that some descriptor that fancy beer raters just came up with to sound smarter, or is it an actual thing? Anyways, I think it smells rather nice. Taste is definitely sour, the sourness doesn’t dominate but it does linger, along with a nice cranberry juice flavor that adds a very subtle bitterness to it and a touch of sweetness. Light to medium body, medium to high carbonation. Soda like quality to it but you can tell it’s still beer. Tastes like the blanket of 10,000 horses. I enjoyed it.

RBSG 2010 - Pours hazy orange with a lingering head and a tart, fruity aroma. The flavor is really tart and sour with flavors of dark fruit and an acidic finish. It’s medium bodied and very interesting. Very good. The only small downside was that it was a little too acidic for me.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of daknole. Pours a deep golden with a slight haze and an off-white head. Sweet fruity aroma with a distinct vanilla oakiness. Medium body, sweet berry notes, again sweet vanilla and oak perfectly balanced by a slight tartness. No real hoppiness. Very nice. 150311

Light brown color. Nice aroma, sour, with some balsamic. Flavor has vanilla, sugar, fruit, though I would have guessed cherry if I didn’t know better. A very nice fruit beer.
