A farmhouse style red ale brewed with aromatic speciality malt and rye for a spicy complexity. Secondary fermentation on red currents and sour cherries brings sweet fruity aromas. Yeast character of subtle clove and earthy funk.
In October 2014 half of the batch was released fresh and half was poured into French oak Red Burgundy barrels where we pitched the wild yeast strain Brettanomyces Lambicus. It was then tucked up and left to sleep. The barrel aged version will be released as a seperate beer.
A three-way collaboration between Beavertown, Mikkeller and Arizona Wilderness. Aged in Grand Marnier barrels.

On tap at Mikkeller The Original. Cloudy red with a lasting dirty pink head. Aroma of red berries and rhubarb with notes of vanilla and cinnamon. Aggressive, tart flavour with red currants in the foreground, backed by friendlier vanilla notes, but still too violent to enjoy in larger quantities

On tap @ Cardinal. Unclear reddish orange body with a thin pink head. Pleasant, but not very strong aroma of fresh, slightly acidic berries, specially cherries. Flavor is mild acidic cherry, light lemon and hint of almond. Medium body and medium acidic aftertaste. Totally OK fruit beer, but nothing extra going on here.
