Uerige Sticke is only served twice a year: always on the third Tuesday in January and October. This beer is brewed with more malt and hops, and is much richer than Uerige Alt. Sticke with its intense and elegant aroma contains 6% abv.

The unusual name derives from olden days, when the guests would whisper (‘stickum’ being a dialect term for whispering) that the master brewer must have been a little too generous when weighing out the ingredients.

Thanks to the higher alcohol percentage, Uerige Sticke can be stored for much longer than the declared and guaranteed minimum shelf life.

Done decently with light roast malt and a great grain profile consistent for style. Pours orange. Light bitter finish. Hint of hops and some citrus here. Good stuff. Tap at Max’s.

BOTTLE 50CL from Erzengel. Thanks, Gabriel.

Look: clear dark mahogany, light beige creamy head with good retention.
Aroma: malty - light caramel and fruity (but not too estery), minty hops, light zest.
Taste: quite dry, caramel and fruitiness are well balanced by peppery bitterness with light phenolic notes. Some citrus too.

Classic altbier from one of the originals. Clear dark brown, dark and smoky, roast grains and nuts. Bitterness comes more from the roast grains than the hops. This is an altbier against which to judge all others.

Bottle looks really good, nice format. Beer in the glass dark brown, huge head. Starts strong-malty, modest sourish, some fruity hints of plum. More and more earthy-dry, bitter background. Finish still with nice dry notes, modest sourish. Good beer!

on tap at the brewery. The beer starts malty, nice hop aromas appear to the middle part, a great combination of floral hops with the malty Alt-character. The aftertaste is long, roasted malt, bittering hops and still floral hop notes together with the full bodied Alt-taste! Also slightly sweetish-fruity
--> A great brew! 14/13/13/14

Refrigerated flip-top 11.2 oz. brown bottle, bottled on April 2012, poured into a shaker. Pours clear dark amber with big beige head. Aroma is floral malt, medium/light body, medium carbonation, and some big bubble lacing. Taste is dark fruit and floral hops. Best alt I have had.

RB Odense Early Summer Fun. Copper with a small white head. Rich malty aroma with biscuit and bread, dried fruit and tropical sweet fruit. Malty and fruity flavour with a yeasty hint, herbal hops and a quite bitter finish. A bit thin for what the aroma is promising

Smak och doft av humle, malt, jäst med toner av karamell och vingummi. God sötma med bra efterbeska. Äntligen någon tysk som sticker ut.
