Amber color with a fine tan head. Good lacing and a fine intensity in the aroma. Medium to full body and a mellow carbonation level. Balanced sweetness. Good drinkability. Bready, dried fruits, hoppy and toffee in the flavor. Nice evening sipper.

Bottle from Craft Beer Store, Hamburg. 8.5 % ABV. Light hazy dark red with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dark fruit and moderate hoppy - fruity. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily. 290417

First Smuttynose experience. The bomber is poured into a snifter giving a gorgeous dark red body and a nice tan and lacey head. The nose is astringent and floral, weird. I like a red ale but this goes different. Taste is some malty but more hoppy, an apple sweetness and a metallic finish. I can appreciate unusual but this veers a bit off for me.

Bottle 65 cl. Pours a cloudy, reddish amber with an off-white head. Citrusy hops in the nose if a little tired perhaps. HUGE malty body, very typically biscuity malts, oxidized hops, but still super pleasant tasting. Decent late bitterness. Good - if somewhat old school. 230816

Light haze on this reddish amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has good fine carbonation. Caramel malts, not that sweet. Spicy hops, marmalade. Touch of pine. Fair bit of hop spice on the light dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle shared by PinkZambia Redish amber with a thin tan head. Big sweet resinous hop aromas and flavors. Sturdy and slick malt body. Big and tasty

Marigold and grapefruit bouquet. Clear copper, thick yellow head, nice lacing. Mango and marigold, potpourri, spruce notes when warm. Medium body, soft carbonation. I prefer a sharper hop bite, but this was very tasty and distinctive.
