The husband of the Femme Fatale, an ‘irresistible’ lovely dark beer wherein not less than 5 kinds of malt are used. The beautiful foam lingers towards caramel with a light hint at hops. The malty flavour evolves into fine bitterness that lingers on nicely. EBC 115.

Had this at Zythos Beer Festival, March 7th and 8th 09 Pours dark brown bit of a murky muddy appearance with a light beige head. The aroma is subtle but there is some sweetness and a little sourness on the edge. Taste is sweet and yet there is a nice citric touch, some tangerine perhaps, yeastiness and maltiness complete the picture. A6 A4 F7 P4 OV15 3.6

Yellow head, fast reduced to 2-3 mm over bit muddy chocolate brown beer with reddish hue. Toffee, roasted malts, bit of peanuts, chocolate / Munich malt. Sourish flavour, bit oxydized malts, vegetable and roasted notes trying to dominate, succeeding in bittering the finish. MF reveals pretty serious carbonation, only after some time. OK - no, better than OK, but less impressive than the Femme. Well, I might be biased.
