Aromas are a great combination of bananas, bubblegum and cloves with a slight hint of liquorice. Full bodied and chewy with a warming smooth finish.

Huge beige lasting head. Slightly hazy deep dark red body. Spicy earthy syrupy aroma with bubblegum notes. Sweet, and faintly dry, syrupy earthy bubblegum taste with spicy notes. Full-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Sweet-dryish spicy fruity bubblegum aftertaste with oily notes. Interesting and full of flavour, but they haven’t gotten the fermentation right. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Bottle from ’Jacks’ Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Wednesday 30th April consumed at Hastings Touring Park, Hastings 2nd May 2014 Pours dark chestnut with filmy off-white head. Aroma is toffee and banana, very banana-ey. Soft in mouth, really fruity, banana bread, actually this has a lovely soft carbonation. This really is toffee banana swirls and little else, still despite being one dimensional I rather like it. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

Draught at Crowbar & Bryggeri. Dark ruby-red coloured body. Filmy layer at the surface. Nice, mid-sweet malt-fruity aroma. Fused taste profile of brown malts, dried fruits and spices displaying a marmalade impression. Malt-fruity ending. Fine bodied. Hidden alcohol. Sipper qualities (Oslo 22.04.2014).

(Keg at William K Kurvi, 20140426) The beer poured dark brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, malts, fruitiness and mildly clove. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, clove, sweetness, caramel and fruitiness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A sweet and thin weizenbock lacking almost all the hefeweizen characteristics. Stilll a rather good brew.

Keg at the Euston Tap, 19/03/14. Hazed dark amber/orange with a good sized light beige head that retains well. Nose is toffee, dark fruit peel, clove, yeast esters, bready malty pangs. Taste comprises big dark malt notes, candied fruit peel, brown sugars, orange peel, caramac bar. Medium + bodiment, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate. Decent stuff, easy drinking for the ABV, the alcohol is well integrated and barely noticeable and the sweetness well tempered with the malt base.

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Cloudy, darkest red. Pale tan, thin, but lasting head. Thick, demerara sugar. Overripe banana. Spice, by way of cinnamon and nutmeg, but for me, the whole thing is let down by an overwhelming, flat cola, bubblegum thing going on. Metallic aftertaste. Didn’t like this at all.

On keg at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - Dark brown with thick beige head. Intense aroma, cloves, stewed fruit, banana, orange and wheat. Same in the taste, medium bodied, softly carbonated, touch of warming alcohol. Very good, highly enjoyable.
