Also labeled as Oktoberfest Doppelweizen.
Aromas are a great combination of bananas, bubblegum and cloves with a slight hint of liquorice. Full bodied and chewy with a warming smooth finish.

Bottle. Nose is strong banana, cloves, bubblegum; classic german wheat. Taste is banana and very strong bubble gum, but it is much too sweet with the heightened strength. Mouthfeel is good. Decent elements, but it is far too sweet. Edit: By the end of the glass I was sick of the sight of it.

Craft Clerkenwell. Keg. Almost opaque dark red - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, slightly soft with fine carbonation. A little malt cream. Sweet banana ester, bruised banana, ripe dark fruits. Light floralness before a light semi dry finish. A sweet fruity bock. Nice.

On tap at Gaasa. A murky brown beer topped by a dense, finger-thick, beige head leaving some lacings. The aroma has a faint sourish touch, with dried fruits and caramel notes. A roasted touch too. There’s some bitterness in the mouth, but it’s mostly on the malty side with roasted malts, dried fruits and some caramel. Sweet and velvety and pleasantly carbonated on the palate, with a lasting finish with caramel, dried fruits and a balancing bitterness. A really pleasant and tasteful one, easy drinkable too. 140501

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell. It pours clear deep brown with a medium off-white head. The nose is sweet toffee, bruised banana, spice and light toast. The taste is soft, ripe banana, caramel, dried fruits, banana bread, clove rock and earth with a sweet, banana finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation carbonation. Alcohol is very well hidden. Straight-forward, yet true to style. Solid.
