Bottle from Drinkstore [260914]
Caramel brown, hazy, frothy off white head
Aroma of banana, caramel, soft clove, light bubble gum
Taste of caramel malts, soft banana, touch of roast, light bubble gum, soft roast, alcohol quite well hidden...just not that keen on the taste
Palate - Medium carb and body, quite rich, fairly sweet malts. Finish is slightly dry, caramel malts, some warming alcohol, dab of fruity malts, bit of an earthy malt linger
Overall - Not bad, but was a bit disappointed with this. For the style it’s probably a good example but I prefer a standard dopplebock. Fairly hard work to finish the bottle.

Bottled@Pub Winston Festival. Hazy deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aromais caramel, some sugary notes as well as mild wheat and some mild berries too. Flavour is banana, some fruitiness, mild malty sweetness as well as some syrupy sweet notes. Balanced flavour, although not the most typical weizen bock...

0.5l bottle. It's quite dirty and murky looking in the glass this one. Deep and dark charcoal grey with a nice big lasting slowly fading beige head. On the nose this is mild malty with tones of dry licorice, burned matches sulfur and some dark candied sugars. Molasses also detected along with hints of yeasty banana. Strange but not directly unpleasant. Tastes nice enough. Yeah, the banana goes wild in the taste and dominates the rest of the flavors. Feels oily in the mouth and it's just below average on the bubbles. Dark malts, traces of cold dry chocolate and a ashy tail. The yeasty banana dominates this imo strange style combo. Absolutely drinkable. 08.06.2014

Sweet-ish wheaty aroma, notes of banana, baked banana, a bready touch, some clove, some orange. Taste is moderately sweet wheaty, fruity, banana, baked banana, orange, sweet bread, clove, a peppery spicy liquorice touch; sticky palate, oily texture. Slightly too sweet.

A bottle. A dark brown beer with a big and beige head. Aroma has wheat and some bananas, cloves and other spices, some dark toffee, quite fresh. Taste has wheat, clearly roasted, cloves, not much of sweetness, the end is dry and spicy, also some roastiness. Medium bodied, smooth, high carbonation. Quite light and surprisingly refreshning. Spicy, dark and nicely refreshning weizenbock.
