Bottle at the brewery. Dark gold, cloudy, with a low, fine head. Faint nose, fruity, citrus, wheat, lemon. Lemony, bready flavor. Typical of this area, I guess. This is just ok, though, a bit thin and boring.

Draught at Uerige, but I don’t know if it is from a barrel or keg. Flowery perfume aroma. Thin palate, sweet wheat and some banana, but a thin palate and a nearly clear yellow color makes me wonder what they were aiming for.

Bottle at Zum Uerige, Dusseldorf, 28/04/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is soured fruit, wheat, sugars, lemon tart. Taste comprises light sour notes, touch of tropical fruits, peach, orange sherbet, apricot. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate. Overall an interesting take for a Deutsch wheat beer, fruity tropical notes a plenty.

Bottle, bought online from www.biershop-braugasthoefe.de. - Hazy yellow. Fruity nose (citrus, no banana). - Dry, with pleasant light citrus notes (’perfumed’), lightly sweetish, a bit tart, very refreshing. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and fruity. - This is a most unusual beer–fans of the sickly sweet Bavarian wheat beers with their banana flavours may not find it to their liking. But it’s a great beer. Unusual but delicious. Just don’t approach it with the idea this is a Bavarian Hefeweizen.

Hazy pale yellow colour, white head. Fruity yeast aroma, wheat, malt, light hops, light peach and apricot. Light sweet, light sour flavour. Quite fruity, some fresh yeast tones. Fruity finish, citrus, wheat and fresh yeast.
Nice and fresh weizen, not heavy on the typical banana as the more typical examples.

Tap @ Uerige. Hazy light yellow appearance with a white head. Somewhat yeasty, pretty dull, light lemon aroma. A little tangy, lemon citrusy, mild yeasty, wheat flavor. Refreshing but uninspired and boring.
