Yellow-orange colour and murky. Flavour has some peach, something rye bread -like and some vomit. Flavour has wet cardboard, some wheat and hints of peach. One of the worst wheat ales I’ve had.

(Botlle, 0.5 l - Abülltag 28.03, at One Pint Pub, Helsinki, 20110625) The beer poured golden and quite cloudy. Its head was medium sized, white, long lasting and dense. Aroma had fruitiness, tartness and citricness. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, sweetness, tartness and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. A really fruity brew which would have benefited from a fuller body.

Bottle at Uerige. Cloudy yellow, white cream. Spicy aroma: Clove and the Alt minerals. Medium body, creamy moutfeel. Light fruityness, salt, bitter edges. Same herbal and salty aftertaste as the Alt. Different and pleasant.

Draught, Zum Uerige, Dusseldorf. Cloudy yellowish gold looks with a good sized white head. Fairly muted, gently fragrant nose. Flavour revealed notes of wheat, yeast and a bit of citrus. Dries out towards the finish .Slightly different from the normal examples of the style, and all the better for it. Enjoyable stuff.

Draught, in Düsseldorf at Zum Uerige, on March 13, 2010Cloudy dark yellow color, fluffy off-white head. Acidic, semi-sweet, a bit fruity taste. Some wet green apples aftertaste. Sweet fruity scent. Not really the characteristic banana esters I was expecting from the style. Medium to moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness.
