10.05.2024, 0,375l bottle (blend #2) @ home:
Small fizzy shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish fruity, caramel malts, dried cherries, cinnamon, fruit stones, oak, berry skin, coconut, mild vinegar. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, mild vinegar, berry skin, sorrel, sour cherries, oak, grass, cinnamon, coconut, fruit stones. Medium bitterness, very soft carbonation, dry sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Nice.

(375ml batch 2 bottle from Mikkeller Webshop) Deep cola coloured pour with a few fizzy white bubbles. Notes of moderate tart cherries, prominent citric and yoghurty lactic acid, quite some wood, moderate Bretty hay bale, some cherry pit spicebox and almond quality in the middle to finish of the sip, subtle acetic accents, finishing with moderate length as a soft lactic/cherry juice blend, with subtle tannic drying and a bit of spice. Rather high tartness up front fades slightly into a more mineral finish. Medium slick body with moderate effervescence. Interesting, it's not as cherry forward as I expected and plays more on the underlying wild ale qualities. Well-made but for me it lacks a certain additional sparkle of sorts.
