You see we’re putting this bottle out in the market, so if you could just go ahead and buy one, that would be great. Mmkay? Even Michael Bolton would be a fan of this Agave Mead with lime juice, lime zest and orange zest!

Sample at the Beer/Port/Mead/Homebrew Tasting on 07/20/2017. Bottle as "Margarita Style Melomel". Pours a clear pale golden color with some legs on the sides of the glass. Citrus, agave and floral honey in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of agave fruit, honey and slight lime. The finish is floral and fruity with a citrus aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

375ml bottle at the December 2016 DC area cider tasting. Poured a clear yellow color. Aroma was salty lemon notes, peel. Flavor was harsh apples and honey. Light salty finish. “There was salt on the glass, BIG grains of salt.” (not really) Alcohol was really well masked.

Bottle courtesy of Biggsbowler. Pours clear greenish golden leaving some legs on the glass. Smell is floral, slightly fruity and tiny synthetic with floral honey, bitter lime, laundry detergent, agave syrup, white bread, lime zest and alcohol. Taste is sweet, tiny bitter, fruity and slightly nutty. Mouthfeel is viscous, round, tiny astringent, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and tiny bitter with floral honey, almond paste, laundry detergent, lime juice, lime zest and alcohol. Would have liked more lime, more acidity and less synthetic flavours. Bit off... Tried it with added lemon juice which made it easier to drink but needs even more acidity. --- Beer merged from original tick of B. Nektar Milton's Madness on 29 Jul 2016 at 19:20 - Score: 7. Bottle. Pours with a very light haze, full yellow hue. Still, with some legs. Aromas are of honey, waxy, baked apple, very floral and medium sweet, lime zest and sweetened orange peel. Spicy and zesty. Margarita might be a reach in concept, but it smells good. Fruity. Flavors are very sweet for the concept, some agave, bitter, zesty, floral, honey, waxy. Medium juicy, spicy, waxy. Lots of tannin or other bitterness, light lime, floral orange blossom. Full bodied, viscous, still, kind of an unsettled balance.

2012 Colorado Mead Tasting at Armin’s house. Pours a light yellow, clear appearance with no head. Sweet and spicy lime, margarita mix, juicy orange citrusy aroma. Tangy, sweet lime, juicy margarita, quite sweet flavor with a bit more dryness on the finish. Strange but fun to try.
