A rich nose with wheaty, yeasty and hoppy characters mingling with full-on mango and passion fruit. Added to that comes a kick of honeycomb, banana and a touch of sourness. The palate is sweet, very soft and delicate with an apple and tropical fruit 'bite' with a superbly balanced bitterness.
This belter of a Belgian Double IPA simply 'raises' the bar in its style.

Tap at Friends of Ham, Leeds. Hazy, pale amber. Sweetness similar to caramel popcorn. Some spiciness along the lines of star anise. Got a hint of blue cheese, too. Taste is grassy dry. Little in the way of bitterness. Long, dry finish. Slightly curious. Liked it.

Bottle at Six Degrees ABZ. It pours hazy amber with a small bubbly beige head. The nose is tangerine, nectarine, peach, sherbet, candy, wood and a touch of alcohol. The taste is smooth, bitter-sweet, peach, tangerine, candy, light tartness, spice, toffee, wood and some alcohol warmth. Medium+ carbonation and soft carbonation. Lacking a touch of condition, but very nice nonetheless.
