Draught @ Borefts 2013. Pale blonde, cloudy. Only a hint of apple in the aroma. Thin. Citrus and apple in the flavor. Sharp mouthfeel. Nice, but lacks character.

At Borefts Beer Festival 2013. Cloudy pale yellow with a small white head. Weak bready and grainy aroma with fruity notes. Dry and tart, malty and slightly yeasty flavour. Cleaner and tastier than anything from Berlin.

On tap @ Borefts 2013. Really pale and dishwasher water colored, kinda yellow straw looking and it has only a little film on top of it. The nose is light farty with lots of farm and grains. A soft lemon acidity all the way in the back perhaps. That light sourness goes again in the taste, but this time more limeish. It's not surprisingly kinda light on the mouthfeel this and the carbonation is below average and small bubbled. Citrus, hay, grains and a mild soft fruitiness that shines through until the grainy finish kicks in. A bit disappointed to be honest. 27.09.2013

Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of malts, butter, bread, wheat, light hint of lemon. Sweet flavour, light sour, malts. Quite thin, finish malts and light yoghurt. bit disappointing to me, I expected more from this great brewery.

On keg at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - Hazy yellow body, little white head, nose of yeast and pine. Taste as bitter as expected, long finish, solid enough body. An okay beer. Then I went for the gimmicky bit in the bar, had it with Woodruff syrup, that was nice - gave it an additional bitter-sweet crab-apple taste to it. Then went with the raspberry which was just too sweet, like drinking jam. Obviously scored it on the natürlich version.

Tap at Borefts ’13, 27/09/13. Hazed light golden/yellow with a thin off white head. Nose is tarte fruit, toasted malts, grassy, lemon drizzle, straw. Taste comprises light citric wood, tarte orange, lemon rind, dank flavour. Light in body, fine carbonation, refreshing finale. Decent enough Berliner.

27.09.2013, tap @ Borefts:
Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is grainy, shed, wet hay, old cats piss, honey. Taste is barely sour, light malts, wet hay, grass, hints of citrus and soda powder. Slightly dry mouthfeel. Next!

Keg @ The Bath Hotel, Sheffield [161013]
Pale yellow, hazy, dense white head, some lacing
Aroma - Very light aroma, slight lemon
Taste - Soft sour, tart, soft cereal, lemon, lactic sour, hmm i’m finding this rather dull
Palate - Medium carb, light body, some creaminess, frothy texture. Finish - very dry, soft cereal, rather dull
Overall - After having Magic Rock’s Circus of Sour, this came across as disappointing. Rather lacklustre, I couldn’t be bothered to finish my half. One of the most disappointing Thornbridge beers I’ve had.
