Aroma is nice with licorice, roasted tones and some sweet toffee. Also vanilla. Very creamy palate. Flavour has somewhat salty licorice, some herbal tones and hints of spices. Good, perhaps a bit too salty.

Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, coffee and grassy hops. Taste is smooth and roasty with loads of coffee, licorice, dark chocolate and cocoa. Finish is roasty, bitter and salty with notes of licorice, cocoa and hops. Quite nice and tasty porter.

Dark opaque black color, small beige head. Sweetish licorice, some toasted black coffee notes. Medium to full-bodied. Roasted, salted licorice, coffee beans, ash and some burned notes. A bit too coffeish-ashy for my liking.

Tap @ pikkulintu. Almost black, lacing brown head. Roasty, licorice, oatmealy aroma, mild coffee notes. Flavor has roastedness, coffee notes, licorice. Dry. Solid stuff. Easy to drink.

Black colour, beige head. Aroma of hops, chocolate, roasted malts, light mocha coffee. Malty flavour, light bitter, roasted malts. Bitter hops finish. Nice!

Draught (The Rover, Göteborg) - Dark brown, almost black with a tan head. Liqorice, roasted malt, coffee and some slightly smoky notes in the aroma. Smooth and roasted taste with liquorice, roasted malt, coffee and tar detected.

Wenig Gegner, süß malziger Antrunk. Die Malzigkeit bleibt, auch die Süße ändert sich kaum. Würzig, schokoladig, etwas karamellig und röstig. 11/10/9/9//10

Tap at Borefts ’13, 27/09/13. Light black/dark mahogony brown with a thin tan covering. Nose is light roast, a little thin, touch of bitter tropicals, light pine, citrus. Taste carries more depth, cocoa, earthy hops, bitter grapefruit, orange pith, hint of pine needle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish. Decent enough stuff - could class this as a CDA as one of the brewers suggested to me!

Draught @ Borefts Beer Festival, 2013. Pours black with a creamy beige head. Licorice, charcoal and fruit. Smooth and full bodied. Old school feel.

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20131001) The beer poured clear and almost black. Its head was medium sized, almost white and it lasted long. Aroma had roasted malts, hops and chocolate. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, hops, coffee, chocolate, ash and bitterness. Afteraste was roasty and bitter. A well done roasty and hoppy brew.
