Buxton - A true, ancient Spa town, stands where the Limestone and Gritstone bedrocks of the White Peak and Dark Peak meet. Pure, delicious mineral water flows constantly out of the ground. For centuries this water source ensured Buxton's prosperity, and is the inspiration for this beer, bringing English malts, Citra hops and the unsung-hero of beer - water together.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white hed. Intense, citric, citrusy Citra aroma, notes of lemon, tangerine, orange, orange zest, biscuity malty background. Taste is mildly bitter hoppy, citrusy, some lemon, orange, lemon zest, subtle biscuity malt sweetness; slightly mineral, chalky, and husky finish. Superb summer ale, slurped away in a jiffy.

On tap at Buxton Tap House, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Nose is on the fruitier side, with floral notes and almost a Belgian-esque yeast component. Flavour is lighter, with floral notes, light fruitiness, and a dry, astringent hoppy finish. Well-balanced, but I prefer the Moor Top. Very nice.
