Heavy, sweetish and slightly roasty with some warming alcohol, loads of molasses, brown sugar and syrup, hints of licorice. A bit boozy but surprisingly tasty

Sample at the "New Beers Eve - Last Chance 2014 Beers!" tasting on 12/31/2014. Pours inky black with a medium light brown head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Aroma of bourbon, coffee and dark fruit. Rich and velvety body with flavors of oaky bourbon, dark chocolate, raisins and vanilla. The finish is sweet molasses and malt and leaves a lingering chocolate cherry liqueur aftertaste. Very good all around.
