Appearance: clear bronze colour, moderate ivory-coloured frothy head of medium retention. Aroma: rich malt, dried fruits, esters, vinous notes. Taste: light sweet and bitter. Pleasantly malty, complex. Dates and figs, higher spirits, ending hop. Well hidden alcohol. Mouth feel: medium body, average carbonation. Summary: good. The only problem is the green bottle.

Huge thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that bottle! Looks really good. BB date 31.12.2030. Beer in the glass amber coloured, small head. Starts strong, light alcoholic, some woody-dry notes. Some hints of dried fruits. Woody alcoholic finish, some hints of orange. Interesting one!

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass not too dark, small head. Starts strong and quite dry. Not as roasty malty as other dark bocks. Some woody-dry notes. Finish balanced, still dry. Okay.

Nice maltiness but a bit lacking overall. Yeah, it's autumn.

Bottle pour from The Beer Store, Nashua. It's a crystal clear, dark amber with trace sparkle, finger-width beige head with excellent retention and trace lacing. Aroma is balanced minerals and toffee. Taste is strong toffee over minerals. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, straightforward mix of minerals and malts. Nice representative of the style.

Tight foamy tan head stayed on a chestnut coloured still body. Caramel & toffee aroma. Medium bodied, soft & pillowy with a lively back. Malt, spices, berries, demerara & tea tastes with a peppery finish. Nice one!
