A sweet mead made with whole cinnamon sticks, vanilla beans and aged on American oak. We slice each vanilla bean open by hand before adding to the mead to ensure maximum flavor extraction. Serve slightly chilled.

Sampled on draft at GTMW 2011. Got the last pour of this one. Woot! Pours a clear pale yellow with a creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of honey, cinnamon, other spice notes, vanilla and an earthy note. The taste is sweet honey, cinnamon, vanilla. Medium bodied.

Pour from a bottle. This is a still mead, straw in color. Cinnamon leads the aroma, but also honey and vanilla with a definite alcohol presence. Flavor is very sweet, again leading with cinnamon, backed by vanilla, honey, maybe some oak note. Very smooth. I can definitely say I’m a fan of sweet meads by now.

Bottle. Pours off white. Nose/taste of cinnamon sticks, vanilla beans, oak, honey and carmelized sugar. Very sweet. Ever so slight dryness in finish. Good mouth feel.

Pours very pale yellow color with no carbonation. Aromas of home, cinnamon, vanilla and a hint of wood. Very sweet honey, vanilla and cinnamon flavors. A little oak comes through. I can’t believe the is 14% abv, I can hardly taste the alcohol. Good stuff.

Sampled at Great Lakes Brew Fest in Racine, WI. I’m a definite fan of mead, but I rarely have it as not many people I know like it and I can’t drink a whole bottle. I was happy to have some of this after a long day of drinking only beer. Man, this was fantastic stuff and probably the best thing I had all day. Just an explosion of flavors upon first sip, equal mixtures of honey, vanilla, and what seemed to be a whole cinnamon stick. Will definitely buy a bottle and break it out on special dessert occasions.

Sampled at the 2010 GTMW. Poured a clear gold with no head. Aroma was sweet with honey and melded with the cinnamon and vanilla. Flavor began sweet with both the vanilla and honey. The cinnamon grew to help balanced the mead.

Courtesy tpd975. Pours clear very pale gold with no real head to speak of. The aroma is full up vanilla and followed by honey sweetness and faint cinnamon. The taste is rich and sweet mead syrupy goodness with rich punchy smooth vanilla and some cinnoman in there to fill in the gaps. The word β€œyummy” keeps coming to mind as I work to drain my glass.
