Xyauyù Barrel is the result of a “wicked idea” of Teo’s and years of research. It is a top-fermented beer which has gone through macrooxidation and has been aged in oak rum barrels to give it scents of dates, caramel and a delicate wooden note. When poured, it has no head and no gas; it has a dark color with copper nuances.

Sweet and boozy. Rum-raisin, caramel. Very nice.
Thin, sweet, boozy. Raisins, dates, some red wine. Caramel and molasses. Very nice.
Heavy, intense with prunes and figs with some sherry and port notes. Still not the biggest fan of these

No foam. Extremaly complex and intensive aroma of caramel, honey, raisins, dactyls? vanilla, chocolate, dried plums. Taste of caramel, dark dried fruits, honey, vanilla, some chocolate hints. Extremaly well hidden alcohol. No carbonation. Very tasty, special beer.

Bottle at home. Vintage 2016. Has a brown colour with no head. Aroma of brown sugar, brown liqour, dates, oak, tobacco, caramel and liqueur. Flavour of caramel, brown sugar, dates, oak and tobacco. Warming alcohol in the end. Has a very silky and soft mouth feel, heavy body and soft bitterness. Rich and sweet but still well-balanced. And not too boozy as well. Incredibly.
