Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold, and dark. The addition of rolled oats softens Yeti's notoriously roasty backbone, and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle creates a unique dark fruit character. Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a gentle beast.

65 cl bottle @ home, bottled 24.06.2015. Rated on 03.10.2015
Vertical with basic Yeti, which got 4.0
Aroma has metallic tones, oat, licorice, chocolate and hops. A bit woody and dry. Flavour has grapefruity hops, smooth oaty notes, licorice. Alcohol is present but does not disturb. Hops are a bit disturbing here and make this a bit juice-like – I like my stout less juicy and more roasty.

650ml bottle @ ISKTR

Pours pitch black with a small head. Aroma of roasty malts, licorice, coffee, chocolate, hints of oaty raisins. Taste is smooth, sweetish and roasty with some licorice, coffee, chocolate and oaty raisiny notes. Finish is smooth, heavy and sweetish with some roastiness, oatmeal, raisin and dark chocolate. Not as good as the regular Yeti.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a black color with a large foamy brown head that left good lacing. The aroma was strong anise, chocolate, vanilla, toasty malts and almost coffee. The flavor was intense with a bitter presence, anise, chocolate, wood, roasty malts, port wine and quite a bit of booziness. Long finish of alcohol, anise, wood, roasty malts and chocolate. Full body. Interesting.

Stor men lite snällare än syskonen kanske.

Oatmeal Yeti 9.5% A pitch black pour with a tan head. The nose is a sweet soft chewy oats, dark stone fruits. Fabtastic flavor with raisins, dark chocolate, chewy oats, candied plum. Medium bodied this drinks smooth as silk and settles down with some heat in your stomach.
