Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold, and dark. The addition of rolled oats softens Yeti's notoriously roasty backbone, and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle creates a unique dark fruit character. Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a gentle beast.

6 oz draft pour at Snallygaster 2014 shared by someone. Black with tan head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, vanilla, oats. Tastes of chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit, oats. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Delicious.

9oz goblet at Spacebar. Poured a pitch black color with a small tan head. Roasted aroma, with a strong chocolate presence, like the regular Yeti. Flavor is that of bitter coffee, bitter dark chocolate, and extremely roasted malts. Some light creamy grain notes from this one, which are clearly from the oats, which produced a slightly different body.

Bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering, 2014. Pours black with a creamy head and lacings. Oat, chocolate, coffee roast and mild charcoal. Smooth and full bodied. Roasted bitter finsh with lots of licorice.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is solid hoppy, toasted dark malty. Bitter, roasted and slight herbal. Bitter, roasted and dark malty. Roasted and alcohol presence. Dry and herbal finish.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice creamy head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, chocolate, coffee and hops. Nice dry and smooth finish.

Mild coffee nose, some cocoa. Black pour, medium sticky tan head. Rich coffee, raisins, and charcoal flavor. Very bitter and resinous. Medium body, but intense, soft carbonation. Not my favorite Yeti, but still better than most.

Draft. Chocolate oatmeal malt and wood ash aroma. Black with small head. Sweet chocolate oatmeal malt, licorice and mildly bitter herbal flavor. Excellent blending and body. Very solid.

22 oz. bottle with a bottle date of 16 July, 2013. As my cellar slowly starts to dwindle away, I can’t recall where I got some of them. Anyhow... I killed this bomber by myself and I don’t feel guilty about it. Used motor oil with a small tan head. Aroma is charred malt, roasted coffee bean and earthy, premium dark chocolate.
This is the body I look for in an imperial stout! Thick and chewy with the oat flakes adding that beautiful thickness. Flavor has big roast and again that premium chocolate, burned coffee with some light dark fruit hints. Secondary flavor of anise and ash. Smooth, soft carbonation. No alcohol to be found after a year sitting. I believe I have covered the entire Yeti family and if GD decides to brew another variant, I will not complain at all. Top tier like the rest of the yeti series.
