Sample at the Rabbit’s Foot Meadery. This Port Wine/Mead hybrid pours dark brown with some ruby around the edges, and a minimal bubbly off-white ring around the top of the sample. Semi sticky legs on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, wine and raspberry. Full-bodied with flavors of semi-sweet chocolate, raspberry and port wine. The finish is slightly oaky with a chocolate covered raspberry aftertaste. Enjoyable all around.
