Every year since its inception in 1992, we strive to honor the original Bourbon County Stout recipe. And, 30 years later, we continue Gregory Hall’s legacy and passion for making the best beer possible, starting with the best barrels the bourbon trail has to offer. This year, our Imperial Stout is aged and blended from freshly emptied bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill, Four Roses, Wild Turkey, and Buffalo Trace distilleries. Expect flavors of vanilla, dark chocolate, toffee, molasses, almond, and dried fruit.

Alcoholgevoel is vrij scherp, heet. Volle body. Lange finish, donkere chocola, geroosterd, lichtjes bitter. Ook na bijna 9 jaar nog prima te doen.

Growler from Liquor Shed in Casper.
Pours pitch black, short lived head of foam, no lacing.
Bourbon, roasted malt, caramel malt and maple with a wee bit of oxidation.
Taste is Bourbon, roasted malt, rather sweet, no bitterness, maple, toffee, slight oxidation of the good kind.
Body is full, carbonation is there but light.
Aged very well.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing this rarity! Nice to try another batch of this beer! Beer in the glass deep black, almost no head. Intense woody-malty alcoholic aroma. Starts very strong, alcoholic, warming-malty. Oily. Nice vanilla notes, combined with bitter coffee. Shy sweetish background. Finish milder than exspected, but still warming-malty. Really nice one!

Surprisingly similar to a fresh 2024 vintage. Slightly more earthy notes especially in the aroma, hints of syrup and licorice. Has aged surprisingly well
