Flaska från Saveur Bieré. Smak och doft av choklad, torkad frukt, karamell, brunt socker, trä, med toner av espresso, vanilj och rök. Rund och len, välbalanserad, lagom sötma, fin beska. Mycket gott!

On tap at Haand Festival. It pours a dark brown body under a dense, finger thick tan head. The aroma is of the roasted kind, with chocolate and some bonfire notes. There’s some sweetness in the flavor, but it’s actually quite dryish. Roasted malts, cocoa, chocolate, hintsof bonfire and a nice piney bitterness. Full body and a nice carbonation level. Lasting finish. Tasteful and easy drinkable this one, even at 7% ABV. 140524

Very dark brown, somewhat hazy with some floaters, weak to medium strong tan creamy head. Aroma is sweet caramel, (milky) chocolate, some herbal aroma, roasted malts. Taste is low to moderate sweet caramel, chocolate, toasted bread, bit of herbal notes, roasted malts. Dry, roasted bitter finish and moderate lasting roasty aftertaste. Medium+ bodied, medium carbonation.

Had this right after I drainpoured De Molen’s Summer Porter. Slighty past BB date. Very dark color. Beige head, dense, small layer retention. Aroma’s: moderate sweetness, cassis/blackberries, roasted malts. Retronasal it’s soft sweet & roasted, berries. Flavor is light sweet, soft roast, cassis. Medium bodied. Velvetty mouthfeel, very fine carbonation. Strongly roasted finish, ash, moderate bitter.

6th Feb 2015: bottle in De Bierboom (Brugge) during a beer exchange. Almost black in colour, deep beige blanket on top. Aroma of roasted malts with dark chocolate and coffee esters leading the way. The taste a little sweeter in nature, gain with chocolate and coffee flavours to the fore: caramel and liquorice notes arrive mid-sip, slick body feel to this well made and tasty Porter.

Opaque dark brown color, small frothy tan head, recedes quite quickly, good lacing. Roasted malt nose, coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, bit smoky. Flavour medium bitter and light to medium sweet, light smokiness, spicy notes. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, roasty bitter finish with chocolate and coffee, overall a smooth and strong porter.
