Petrus Aged Pale is a 100% foeder beer, aged for 24 months in our oak foeders. It has been the reference for sour beers for years. Moreover, ever since the establishment of the brewery, this beer has been used to blend with other beers to give them fresh, slightly sour flavours and aromas.

Bottle at Lombard. Nice sourness, aroma is very sour, gueuze like without the complexity. Taste is alright, more interesting than the aroma. It is sour, it is Flemish and it is no lambic. I’ve been looking forward to taste this beer, and I wasn’t disappointed. 6th DRG. Golden color, slightly hazy. Citric, woody aroma. Very citric flavor, medium to full bodied, with some cream in the aftertaste. Raspberry. Some hopcharacter. Really great.

Tart and sour on the palate, but has a substantial body to it to give it a big full mouthfeel. Plus the abv, gives this a big beer feel to it. online Beerwulf bottle

bottiglia 33 cl, bel cappello di schiuma bianca fine persistente, color giallo smorto limpido, al naso aceto legno cherry funky, in bocca frutta acerba aceto barrique sembra quasi piccante, carbonazione leggera, corpo rotondo, molto acida, amaro moderato. Un birra brusca vinosa piace o non piace. Molto particolare. Ottima. c. Luppoli e Uva Varese 25.05.19

Little bitterness, sour-ish slightly watery and mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Gefunden in einer Bier-Box bei LIDL Österreich. Eigentlich wollte ich das Bier schon wegschütten, da es einfach verdammt sauer ist. Doch da fand ich Rezensionen, welchen genau diesen sauren Geschmack beschrieben haben und stellte fest, dass das so schmecken soll. Jedenfalls ist außer einer überbordenden Säure nicht viel in diesem Bier. Nix Fruchtiges, nix Florales -vielleicht ein bisschen Malzigkeit, aber auch die wird von der Säure unterjocht. Hat mir überhaupt nicht gefallen.

Bottle. Malty and yeasty aroma, sour fruit notes, mostly sour apples, light wine notes. Tastes the same as aroma, medium sour. Medium to full body, malty and yeasty sour dry finish with light alcohol notes. Ok.
