Tap at BeerTemple, 12th September 2024. Pours clear and brown. Aroma is sweet. Taste is sweet, sickly, caramel and malts, it’s not doing it for me.

Keg at beertemple. Pours black, nose is maple syrup, vanilla, chocolate, cola, taste is similar, sweet, fruity, little boozy in the finish.

Bottle, 500 ml, shared with Luka and Miro B. Black with brownish head. Beautiful roasty coffee, fudge, maple, chocolate, medium+ sweetness with some bitterness. Medium to full bodied. Tad too sweet, but still pretty great.

Pours black, no head. Scent is whiskey heavy, intense. Roasty . Taste is full, roasty, sharp boozyness over a silky smooth body. Maple mild coffee. Quite damn nice !

Draught @ Kultainen Apina as Buckley Reserve #2 (15%) Aroma has chocolate, some sweet malt. Flavour has alcohol, chocolate liquor, some molasses. Sweetish, heavy and boozy, drinkability could be better. Works as a slow sipper still.

Clear black beer, no head. Aroma: very roasted, a bit oxidized, coffee notes, chocolate, more dark roast and more oxidation noticeable on warming up a bit. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet, alcohol, sugary, dark chocolate, very dark roast. Aftertaste: sugary, alcohol, coffee, dark roast, bit oxidized, vanilla notes, sugary finish, more alcohol noticeable.

Fat på Brewskival 2023. Troligtvis annan årgång, framgick inte. Svart med brun krona. Kaffe, vanilj, choklad- och vaniljwafers, fat, whiskey. Relativt snäll på lönnsirapen, även om det växer till sig. Fin hetta, bra balans mellan sötma/kropp och fatkaraktär. Ruskigt bra.

Fat på Brewskival. Svart utan någon egentlig krona. Sött med toner av läder, granola, lönnsirap, sirapslimpa, choklad, kaffe och kaffesirap, tjärpastill, tjära. Rejäl kropp, riktigt bra fatkaraktär med snäll hetta. Kanske något väl söt i förhållande till fatprofil och hetta från alkoholen. Fortfarande väldigt gott.

Black with a brown head - Roasted malt aroma wood barrel aroma - Dark malt with some roasted notes and a nice flavour from wood barrels and some coffee notes - The dark malt flavours with nwood and coffee goes into the finish - This was real good

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Amazing these are still sitting on the shelf. Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown head that lingers. Big bourbon focused nose with oak, maple syrup and vanilla all present. The palate is very similar with dark chocolate, bourbon, maple syrup and lots of oak notes. Drying finish with pepper, dark chocolate and warming bourbon with a big sweet maple syrup note that lingers.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown head that lingers. Big bourbon aromas with maple syrup and chocolate dominating. Tons of maple and bourbon on the palate with warming whiskey aromas. Oak and vanilla dominate with warming alcohol on the finish. Just a great beer. Transient are still the kings of Michigan when it comes to BA stouts.
