Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours pitch black with a small creamy brown head. Aromas of fudge, subtle smoke, ash, chocolate, malt, dark fruits, brown sugar. Taste is malty, sweet chocolate, dark fruits, milkish sweetness, fudge, subtle smoke, not a lot of roast if anything, some fruity coffee.

Bottle at Drygate. Good stuff. Chocolate, coffee, light creaminess. Lots of taste, lots of roast. Easy to drink though. Rich and lightly fruity. Nice.

Cask at craft beer co Clerkenwell. Dark brown color almost black. Short brown head. Massive flavor of chocolate, nuts, mint and orange. Super smooth mouthfeel with a bit of charcoal over the roasted malts, milk chocolate all over the place. Taste is fairly complex, a bit salty, balsamic, body is structured and solid, flavored finsh of dark chocolate and balsamic herbs. An outstanding stout, lovely.

19 March 2019. At Hanging Bat, Edinburgh. Shared with the lovely Anke! Cask. Pours cloudy black with a lasting, thin, unstable, foamy, dark beige head. Aroma of coffee roast, chicory, fondant, earth, walnut, wet leaves, blackcurrant, old toast. Taste is light malty sweet, restrained chocolate, nuts & bread, quickly building up a medium roasted bitterness with pure coffee roast, chicory earthiness & powdery fondant, vague umami (black) olive & sourish accents of dried, dark fruits complementing well. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, lingering toast, coffee ground, faint ash. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Pleasant 'breakfast Stout', could have been a bit thicker though palate- and tastewise.
