My goal was to craft an ale of extreme balance with a delicate complexity that allows for contemplation while also providing quaffable refreshment. starting with a base of German wheat & pale malts this crisp slightly hazy foundation was then accented with a blend of Sterling & Citra hops providing a intricate blend of herbal grass & tangerine citrus flavors and aroma. to pull this all together and to complete the ’cleansing’ aspect of my vision i gently finished the ale off with a touch of white sage, lending a mild earthy spice character to the blend. of course let’s not forget our house saison yeast that brought all the elements together leaving a dry yet intricate finish.

Have deleted my previous rating as it was just all wrong. I much prefer this beer this time. Changing palate, I guess. Aroma is great, lightly spicy, belgian yeastiness, tropical and citrus fruit. Taste is great too. Yoghurt, orange, slightly medicinal (in a good way), tropical fruit. Very nice.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Total Wine & More, Burlington. Appearance is deeply hazy, pale yellow with greenish tinge, tons of sparkle, few dark unattractive floaties, finger-width fizzy crackling head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is wheat, mild fruity esters and lemon, oyster crackers, dank basement. Taste is wheat, tart fruit, sweet fruity ester and lemon, mild basement. Palate is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a decent amount of complexity for a farmhouse with a nice balance of sweet and tart/dank. Nice.

Crisp copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish single centiemtre tall light brown head that fades very quickly, just like soda. Aroma of super pungent grapes, cherries, oak, dry malt, grain, a dose of hay and some slightly tart and soured brett funk - very nice throughout. Light-bodied; Sharp flavour of grapes, fruits, apricots, dry malt, a touch of grainy malt with some wheat and coriander seed noticeable, but the soured and tart funk then shows up on the very tail end - nice and complex. Aftertaste shows the dry grain, a lot of tart and softer oak and dry grassy qualities with more fruit and herbaceous flavours at the very tail end that shows a grape and apricot with plum finish. Overall, a nice and incredibly complex beer that is packed with varying flavours, but all hitting around the same type of beer - a saison, with a great profile and very nice end result. I sampled this 33 cL can purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-September-2018 for US$1,39 sampled in my hotel room here in Williamsburg, Virginia on 02-June-2019.

Pours a hazy yellow-gold color with a medium white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of citrus, herbal yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of peppery yeast, citrusy hops, spice and malt. The finish is fruity with a yeast and hop aftertaste. Above average overall.
