My goal was to craft an ale of extreme balance with a delicate complexity that allows for contemplation while also providing quaffable refreshment. starting with a base of German wheat & pale malts this crisp slightly hazy foundation was then accented with a blend of Sterling & Citra hops providing a intricate blend of herbal grass & tangerine citrus flavors and aroma. to pull this all together and to complete the ’cleansing’ aspect of my vision i gently finished the ale off with a touch of white sage, lending a mild earthy spice character to the blend. of course let’s not forget our house saison yeast that brought all the elements together leaving a dry yet intricate finish.

Pours hazy yellow, white foam on top, quite a log of it actually. Nose is wheaty, some grassy hops, umami - kind of reminds me some hopped up wheat IPAs. Taste is herbal, sage is not overpowering but you can certainly feel its presence. Bitter, herbal bitterness. Overall, quite decently hoppy, balanced and definitely drinkable beer. Drink it if herbal is your thing. I tend to like it but not too much.

12 ounce can. Hazy yellow gold color. Small fluffy white head with clinging lace. Tart, earthy, spicy malt nose. Light, sweet yeasty wheat malt flavor. Spicy notes of sage and mint. Soft palate has grassy, bready notes. Some light citrus as well. Tasty and refreshing.

Hazy yellow, thin white head. Light, spiced aroma. Taste is bready, herby, grassy and a sharp, citrusy hop. Sharp and distinctive.

Thin white rocky head left a cover on a hazy lemon coloured still body. Zesty aroma of lemon & tangerine. Medium to thin bodied with a tingle over the tongue & a thinning clean back. Lemon, grapefruit, pine & spice tastes with subtle hints of sage on the back.

Bottle pours out a hazy straw color topped with a small fizzy head. Nose is spice some sour bread and earth tones. Taste is more of the nice spice herbs and floral notes.

Can, Legacy. Cloudy and relatively pale, with a fairly large and frothy head. On the nose, a bit of dusty yeast, some light sage (this might be the first time I've had a sage beer where the sage didn't overpower everything). Hefty malt profile, and a touch of alcohol and herbal hoppiness in the finish. The sage is more pronounced on the palate, and the body is thinner than expected. Finishes with earthy hops, lots of sage, a touch of tartness, and again it comes across a bit thin.

Keg at Brewdog, Clapham J. Fruity aroma with a hint of the sea. A hazy light amber. Thick creamy head. Initial burst of sweetness before the herbs come through and into the finish. Medium bodied. Creamy. Soft carbonation. Long dry finish. Enjoyable. I'm not overly keen on herbs but it works well here.

Can from Good Spirits Co. Cloudy golden with a white head that quickly fizzed away. Sweet, slightly tart fruit aroma. Flavour is citrus, funk, herbs, slight tartness. Rather good.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - cloudy yellow. Thin head. Nose - orange or apricot with some resin which possibly engulfs the sage. And that’s definitely not a bad thing. Taste - more apricot and light herb. Overripe fruit and light spice. Palate - medium bodied and tangy. Tangy finish. Overall - good.
